Do the people we meet really change our lives?

    I've been wondering if, every person we meet in our lifetime changes who we are as people. Does each one teach us something new or different? And when that person is no longer in your life do you really think about them, doing the things that they have taught you or things that you've experienced with them? I've done that many times over the years.   For example, my new boyfriend. If I hadn't met him I would have never talked about my past and just let it all out. He's my rock and best friend. Sounds like marriage vows I know. But I'm serious. If we break up I would be lost and so devastated.   He's shown me that I'm worth more than what I value myself as.  I love the fact that he supports me, and loves me for me. I couldn't ask for a more perfect man.
      Today, we had a surprise birthday party for my dad... it was his 60th b-day on the 2nd of this month... Matt came and he fit right in. Everyone, loved him and I'm just glad that everyone got along. He showed me that he cares and is there for me. Just the way he looks into my eyes I can just tell how much he really loves me... I can't explain it any other way. I really wanted him to stay the night, but he was just  not in the mood to stay. I'll just miss him when he goes back to school. As long as I get to talk to him everyday and see him on msn once in a while I'm good to go. It's really late 3am to be exact. I'll finish this in the morning... till then ttyl.

Music has saved my life in more ways than one.

      At an early age I knew that music was my destiny. I started out singing to my moms tapes in her car at the age of 2 or 3. My mom thought it was so cute, and yes back then we had tape players in cars. I know everyone has cd players and ipod adapters today. Anyway back to what I was saying.        My mom was a very musical person, but singing wasn't her thing. I grew up listening to my moms music which consisted of Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, The Bee gees, Elton John, FleetWood Mac, Bob Segar, and  much more but too many to name.  I sang at church, school and of course at home. My mom didn't think that I would want a career in singing, so she paid no attention to it.  When I was 8 years old I decided I wanted to sing for the choir at my church and I did. 2nd date with Matt....

      So our timing was a little off.. He was stuck at the eye doctors for a few hours more than we planned and I just seriously didn't want to get out of bed.  We were supposed to be at my friend's house at 1:30 and that so didn't happen I got there by 3 and my Matty arrived  around 4.  I had fun hanging out with Lisa, and her boyfriend Jeremy. They are the best people I know. I hope Matt had a good time, I don't really think he had that much fun.  But I'll see later. We had an awesome dinner turkey breast, mashed potatoes with spinach, and green beans. It was really good. I supplied the desert for the night. angel food cake with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream..
